UGC NET 2023 Exam Dates (December 6-22), Application Form Deadline, and Syllabus mission - National Eligibility Test (UGC NET 2023) for the December session is scheduled to take place from December 6th to December 22nd. Interested candidates can already begin the online application process by visiting the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The National Testing Agency (NTA) is responsible for conducting this exam, which awards eligibility certificates for 'Assistant Professor' and 'Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)'.   If you plan to apply, please note that the last date to submit your UGC NET December application form is October 28th, with the deadline set at 5 PM. The exam will encompass 83 different subjects and will be held at various examination centers throughout the country. The NTA will announce the exam city in the last week of November. It's worth mentioning that Hindu Studies and Indian Knowledge System were newly added subjects in the previous session.  

Now, let's delve into the UGC NET 2023 syllabus. The examination will consist of two papers

 

1. Paper 1  This paper focuses on evaluating the candidate's teaching and research-related abilities. It assesses cognitive skills, general awareness about teaching and learning processes within the higher education system, as well as the interaction between individuals and their environment.

 

2. Paper 2  The second paper is subject-oriented and will feature questions from the subject chosen by the candidates from the pool of 83 subjects. It aims to measure the candidate's in-depth knowledge and expertise in their chosen subject.
